- Big Oak Elk Ranch - We will be doing a club chili feed on Saturday Feb. 4th at his cabin(s). They have also placed a sign on the trail with some pictures of the cabins and have marked a trail to it as well.
Nov 9 Review:
- Signs: new signs distributed to members present. Any additional signs needed please contact different trail bosses and see who has extra.
- Trails: a new trail will be marked from Waucoma to Jackson Junction. The trail from Jackon/Little Turkey "T" will be marked again as it has in years past. A new trail is work in progess from Festina to Calmar as well as a trail from Calmar to Ft. Atkinson.

There will also be a clothing order form attached.
- Big Oak Elk Ranch - Henry Langreck has shown much interest in helping pushing for snowmobilers to use his cabins for overnight lodging right on the trail. He gave a 3day, 2night stay as a silent auction prize for the ISSA state convention and it was a big hit. We will be doing a club chili feed on Saturday Feb. 4th at his cabin(s).
Oct 12 Review:
- Signs: should have signs by the end of the month and will distribute at that time
- Trails: we're trying to bring back a trail from Waucoma to Jackson Junction so we can connect with the trails to Little Turkey/Protivin. We are also trying to find an alternative route from Gouldsburg to Auburn than what was used last year.
- Groomer: we have been approved to build new groomer tracks. We will order supplies shortly and build the tracks as soon as possible. Regular maintenance to the groomer will also be completed during this process.
- Clothing: we have checked with a couple local screen-printers and will decide on one to go with. We are going to order some sample sizes immediately and have a special meeting next Wed Oct 19 at The Zipper so we can try on sizes and make our first order. The club also voted to donate some shirts to the ISSA State Convention as well as for Cresco Sno-Fest.
- Maps: club members split up the towns to ask our old sponsers and search for new sponsors to help make a new trail map.
Sept 7 Review:
- Signs: We are still waiting for our sign order to come in. We were told to expect them mid-October.
- Trails: Remember when preparing to put trails back in again this year to talk to the landowners to confirm any changes from last year on where the trail runs. Just because "they've always given us permission" doesn't mean they shouldn't be informed of the trail going through a different field than years past. It doesn't hurt to talk to our landowners on a yearly basis even if the trail is going to be in the same spot as before. When marking trails, especially with ditch crossings, in fence-lines or through any form of wooded or tight area, remember our new groomer is substantially larger than what we had so we need a wider and taller trail in these areas. If at all possible, please run trails across field driveways instead of through the ditch.
- Groomer: Our groomer has a broken track that will need to be repaired before it can be used. We are working with the state in trying to figure out how to proceed with these repairs. Some normal maintenance will be needed before the season begins; multiple club members have stated that they will make these repairs.
- Calendar: Dates were set for our upcoming meetings, our Christmas party and our Fun Run. At our October Meeting we intend to set a date for our Landowners Breakfast as well as set prizes for this years raffle.
